Buresh to lead indians football

Fisher Field will have a new head coach on the sidelines. Tonight, at 6:30pm the Mississinewa Community School board of trustees named Kyle Buresh the new Indian head football coach. Coach Buresh comes to Mississinewa from Denison University in Granville, Ohio where he spent the 2019 season as the wide receivers coach for the Big Red. In 2016 & 2017, he served as the pass game coordinator/ quarterbacks and wide receivers coach at Dakota Wesleyan University where he helped guide one of the top offenses in the NAIA.  In 2017, DWU ranked second in the country in total offense (560.7 yards per game) and fifth in 2016 (517.6 yards per game).  He spent 2014-2015 coaching the wide receivers at Wheaton College. Buresh helped guide the Thunder to two conference (CCIW) championships, two Sweet 16 playoff appearances, two top ten rankings, and a record of 22-2 in two seasons.  In 2015, the Thunder offense led the conference in total offense and scoring offense.  Two wide receivers earned All-Conference recognition during Buresh’s two seasons at Wheaton. Prior to working at Wheaton, he coached at Midland University for three seasons from 2011-2013.  Buresh served as the co-offensive coordinator/wide receivers coach in 2013. In his time at Midland, he coached wide receivers, running backs and special teams.  Buresh mentored one All American wide receiver and eight All-Conference players during his time at Midland.  The Warriors earned the NAIA Champions of Character team award in 2012. Buresh spent one season with Indiana Wesleyan University in 2018. As a player, Buresh was a three-time letterwinner and three-time Academic All-Conference defensive back. At Franklin Collage, he was a part of three conference championships and three playoff appearances.

Indians and knights square off for regional title

Indian News. You can watch Mississinewa vs East Noble LIVE on MCSC Athletics Youtube. The Meijer pregame show will start at 6:30 with Ryan Scott (PLAY-BY-PLAY) and Dalton Bishop (COLOR ANALYST) on the call.

Tickets on sale. Tickets are on sale in the MHS athletics office from 8am-3pm for 8 dollars.

Football. The day fans have been waiting for, the Mississinewa Indians will be playing for the regional championship tonight against East Noble in Gas City. The Indians are set to play for their first regional title in 34 years. Kick off is at 7 but you can catch the Meijer pregame show at 6:30 on MCSC Athletics Youtube.

Girls Basketball. The lady Indians improved to 3-0 on the season with a 56-36 win over Wabash last night. Riley McKee led the Indians in scoring and a double double with 15 points and 10 steels. The JV team won 37-24. The Indians are back in action tomorrow vs Cathedral at home.
