MHS Girls Basketball . The Lady Indians played a varsity-only contest last night against the Yorktown Tigers. Mississinewa won 57-47 after pulling away in the third quarter, outscoring the Tigers 22-9. Riley McKee and Ally Hewitt led the team with 13 points while Caily Bolser added 12. McKee added to her point total with 11 rebounds for a double-double. Bolser and Hewitt pulled down 9 rebounds each to help ensure the Lady Indians won the board-war.

Indian Wrestling takes on Southern Wells tonight at the Raider Dome. – TribeTV Student-Media

Tonight’s Events . Wrestling travels to the Raider Dome to face the Southern Wells Raiders at 6:00pm. The freshman basketball team will be in Gaston to take on Wes-Del at 6:00pm, and the RJB Lady Indians will hoop against Wabash at RJB at 6:00pm. Don’t forget that the JV Lady Indians basketball team will play Madison Grant at 5:00pm in the Aux-Gym on Friday evening due to the varsity-only contest scheduled for the Hoosier Gym in Knightstown on Saturday.

Today’s Sports World Update

NBA . The Pacers moved to 18-10 with a 113-97 win over the Bucks last night in Indianapolis. Thaddeus Young scored 25 points and added 11 rebounds in the win. Eric Bledsoe (MIL) led all scorers with 26.

NFL . The Chargers and Chiefs highlight Thursday Night Football at 8:20pm tonight in Arrowhead Stadium (FOX). The Colts face Dallas on Sunday (1:00pm, FOX) in Week 15 at Lucas Oil Stadium hoping to improve to 8-6.

Soccer . A couple of big losses stuck out in Wednesday’s session of the Champion’s League including a loss from United on an own goal that cost them the top spot in their group. Real Madrid lost, and Bayern Munich pulled a draw against Ajax Amsterdam.

Wrestlers fall to Alex

MHS Wrestling . Mississinewa lost on the mat to the visiting Alexandria Tigers 40-39 in a CIC bout. Individual winners for the Indians included Jason Arbogast, Andruw Cruz, Kyler Funk, John Hall, Charlie Brookshire, Trystan Stone, and Courtland Smith. Tre Ice picked up a win in the junior varsity contest.

RJB Boys Basketball . The 8th grade boys basketball team defeated Blackford last night 55-29. Crick led the team with 15, Cook and Smith both added 12.

Tonight’s Events . The Lady Indians welcome the Yorktown Tigers tonight for a varsity-only basketball event at 7:00pm.

NBA . Indiana plays Milwaukee tonight at 7:00pm in Indianapolis.

Soccer . Several teams advanced to the knock-out rounds as the Champions League group stage continued last night. Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid were the top two in Group A. Barcelona and Spurs advance from Group B. PSG turned their group around and came out ahead of Liverpool in Group C. FC Porto and Schalke advance from Group D.

RJB Girls Basketball . The 8th grade girls defeated Marion McCulloch last night 34-17 with both Fuqua and Bushman scoring 8 points to lead the team. The 7th grade team won 65-12. Morrison scored 23 points for the team.

Tonight’s Events . Coach Funk and the Indian Wrestlers will host Alexandria tonight at 6:00pm. RJB Boys Hoops travels to Hartford City to take on Blackford at 6:00pm.

Today’s Sports World Update

NBA . Indiana defeated the Wizards last night 109-101 in Indy. Myles Turner led the Pacers with 26 points, 12 rebounds, and an assist. Bradley Beal scored 30 points for Washington. Indiana plays Milwaukee on Wednesday at 7:00pm in Indianapolis.

NCAA Men’s Basketball . Kansas moved into the top ranking in the nation this week as Gonzaga was upset by Tennessee. The Vols are now one spot ahead of the Zags who are now ranked #3/4 respectively. Duke sits at #2 while Michigan rounds out the top five.N
