Soccer falls to rival, Tennis set to start sectional 44

IHSAA Paring Show. The 2019 boys tennis sectional pairings were released last night and lets take a look at sectional 44. Match 1- Marion vs Madison Grant and Match 2- Mississinewa vs Blackford. Sectional 44 starts tomorrow at Marion at 5pm.

Tennis. Coach Fleming and his Tribe finished the regular season 16-3 last night as they took down Muncie Burris 4-1 at Ball State. 1S Conner Murphy 2-6, 1-6, 2S John Oliver 6-3, 6-3, 3S Ethan Sample 5-7, 6-1, 6-2, 1D Ryan Scott, Riley Fuqua 6-3, 6-2 and 2D Chandler Morrison, Mason Christensen 6-1 ,6-0. Now the team will have one more practice until they start their sectional play.

Girls Soccer. Coach Wilson and her team lost to Eastbrook 1-8 last night. No official stats were reported.

Boys Soccer. Coach Reel and his Indians fell to county rival the Eastbrook Panthers 1-3 at home. No official stats were reported.

Sallade breaks school record, soccer parings released

IHSAA Paring Show. With the IHSAA sectionals just around the corner the boys and girls soccer teams found out who they drew in sectional 21. The Boys team will take on Tipton again in match one at Oak Hill and the Lady Indians will take on Maconaquah in match two at Northwestern.

Parings tonight. The State tournament draw for fall sports continues tonight as the IHSAA will have the drawings for Tennis. You can watch the drawings live on https://www.ihsaatv.org/ at 7pm.

Football. It was a long night in Converse this past Friday as the Tribe had to wait until mother nature let them hit the playing field. It was about 8:45 when kick off happened and with that being said when it’s a Mississinewa vs Oak Hill match up its definitely one to watch. Going into the half Mississinewa already had a 37-0 lead on the Golden Eagles and the Indians earned a 40-0 win, Carson Campbell rushed for four touchdowns and Kyler Funk rushed for one touchdown. Junior Andre Sallade kicked four PATs and two field goals, now Sallade holds the school record as he put a 44 yard field through the up rights.

Cross Country. A good day at New Haven? you could say that. Carli Fones placed 13th while her teammate Raegan Tippey finished 33rd, both ladies were medalist, as a team the boys team finished 12th and the girls placed 14th.

JV Volleyball. The Lady Indians went 4-0 and won the Mississinewa JV Invite on Saturday. No official Stats were reported at the time of post.

Boys Soccer. Coach Reel and his Tribe continue a great season as they earn a 6-2 decision over Tipton on Saturday. Colin Yoder 3 goals, Holden Brown 1 goal, 1 assist, Hayden Ulerick 1 goal, Evan Yoder 1 goal, 1 assist and Thomas Steelman had 1 assist.

Tennis Grabs crown, Football ready to head to converse

Indian News . On Friday (tomorrow), students will participate in eLearning and will not report to school. Please be sure to plan ahead for this special day of learning. Have a safe Ducktail Weekend.

*Reminder* The Ducktail Cruise in is tonight in the MHS parking lot, Middle School Tennis fans please park in the NORTH parking lot, all gates will be closed.

Tennis. After a 45 minute rain delay Coach Fleming and his Tribe was able to hit the courts for their CIC Championship. The Indians grabbed a 6-0 win on Senior night, now the team has won four straight CIC titles and their 12th title since 1977. The team has one more match until they open up sectional 44.

6th Grade Volleyball. The 6th grade squad defeated Elwood on the road last night 2-0, A team 25-20, 25-19 and the B team also picked up a 25-18, 25-21 win.
