Boys Basketball Rolls in the CIC Against Alexandria
Friday night the Boys Basketball team took on Alexandria in a freshman, junior varisty, and varsity event. The Freshman suffered the only Indian loss of the weekend 35-51. The JV team extended their winning streak to six with a 12-3 record by beating the Tigers 53-45. Jeshon McClung and Eyzaac Sanders led the Indians with 12 points each. The varsity team won every quarter to earn the CIC win 58-37. Thabit Gault had a huge double-double with 16 points and 16 rebounds. Nolan Young also had an impressive performance with 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals.
R.J. Baskett Boys Basketball Sweep the CIC Title
On Saturday, the R.J. Boys Basketball teams continued their impressive seasons by taking the 7th and 8th Grade CIC crowns (pictured below), both over county foe Oak Hill. Congratulations to all of these young men and their coaches!

Girls Varsity Basketball
Final regular season game ends in victory for the Lady Indians over Blackford (CIC) 38-30 in a varsity-only make-up game from earlier this month.

The Indians face the Alexandria Tigers tonight in a CIC showdown at Mississinewa High School. The Freshman team tips at 5:00pm followed by the JV and Varsity contests. The Lady Indians wrap up the season tonight with a varsity-only contest at Blackford (7pm), and then take the weekend to prepare for the first round of the IHSAA tournament at Norwell. They will face the hosts on Tuesday, January 31 at 6:00pm. The winner will advance to face Bellmont on Friday. Freshman improve to 12-3 on the season with a 42-36 win over Cass. Bryce Luedtke had 17 points, Ian Haynes had 11. At Elwood, RJB 7th and 8th Grade Boys defeated Madison Grant to move on to the CIC Championship.
Tuesday, January 24 . The Lady Indians played at home against CIC opponent Frankton and came up short 41-50. The JV picked up a win in their contest beating the Eagles 40-36. The girls last contest before sectional is at Blackford on Thursday, January 26 for a varisty-only contest (rescheduled) to start at 7:00pm.
Freshman Boys Basketball defeated Southwood last night at home 36-30. Bryce Luedtke led the Indians with 10pts. In Middle School CIC action, both the 7th and 8th grade teams won their opening games to advance. They will play Madison Grant at Elwood on Wednesday.

To kick off the weekend, Katie Scott signed to continue her cheerleading and academic career at Ancilla College.
The Boys Basketball team traveled to Elwood on Friday for a CIC event that featured a special Unified Basketball game between the JV and Varsity contests. The JV Boys Basketball team won 58-45. Jerod May led the Indians in a Varsity victory over Elwood with 18pts. The Indians final score was 68-52 which now makes them 12-2 on the season.
Girls Basketball fell to Elwood on Saturday 35-46.
Finally, the Freshman Boys Basketball team claimed the 2017 Grant Four Championship on Saturday. In round one they defeated Eastbrook 38-37. Bryce Luedtke and Evan Bellus had 11pts. In the Championship game the Indians defeated Oak Hill 48-47. Kaden Cole led the Indians with 17pts. Evan Bellus added 16pts. Boys Basketball won all the Grant Four tournaments this year. Congratulations!
The RJB 8th grade boys basketball team fell to Madison Grant 47-34. The Indians were lead by Tai McClung’s 27 points. Colin Yoder followed with 5 points. Elijah Yanez rounded out the Indians scoring with 2 points.
The Indians also fell in the B game to Madison-Grant 49-45. Seth Wigner lead the Indians with 12 points and Kreigh Young followed with 10 points.
