Friday, February 10 at 6:00pm the Mississinewa Indians take on the Frankton Eagles at Mississinewa High School. The Indians (13-4) are coming off a tough double overtime loss to the Marion Giants and looking to bounce back against a CIC opponent with a simliar season record at 13-6. On Wednesday evening the Freshman Boys Basketball team took a win against the Marion Giants 45-44. Bryce Luedtke had 17 points for the C team, while Kaden Cole pitched in 8 points and Tim Scott had 7 points. Good job Indians!
It was a historical night in Gas City at Mississinewa High School as the Mississinewa Indians battled the Marion Giants through two overtimes. The Giants came out on top 111-103. Jerod May led the Indians with 31 points. Thabit Gault had a monstrous double-double with 25 points and 24 rebounds. Nolan Young had 19 points and Batch Ceesay added 17. The Indians are now 13-4 as they head to Friday’s game in which they will host CIC opponent Frankton. That game will also be streamed live by TribeTV on TheCube.
The Junior Varsity lost to Marion 25-66 with Brenden Gochenour leading the Indians with 8 points. The JV is now 13-4.
Intermission held a couple of special events as the Unified Basketball (left) teams from Marion and Mississinewa competed in front of a packed house continuing a great tradition from a awesome program. Herb McPherson was honored for his induction into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame (pictured above) with a special ceremony from Mississinewa High School.
