Volleyball Opens CIC With Win

The Lady Indians opened CIC Volleyball action with a win over Oak Hill 3-0 (25-12, 25-18, 25-21). The team is now 8-1 on the season and 1-0 in the conference.

Weekend Recap: Butche 1st at Taylor

Mississinewa Cross Country traveled to Taylor University this past Saturday for the high school and middle school invitational. Junior Brennan Buche broke the school record and course record with a time of 15:49.3 (5:06/M) winning the boys race. Aurora Fisher was the top runner for the Lady Indians finishing 12th with a time of 20:35.9. As a team the girls and boys both placed 11th.


Indians Football was defeated in a very exciting game in their home field opener 36-32 by the New Haven Bulldogs. Senior Evan Wilkins had a fumble recovery. Cade McCoin rushed for one touchdown and completed a pass to Hunter Smalley for another. Junior Heisman Skeens and Sophomore Cade Campbell both added a touchdown on foot.


Girls Golf placed 4th at the CIC match on Saturday. LaBarr and Davis both received All-CIC Honorable Mention finishing 10th and 9th respectively. LaBarr shot a 98 and Davis a 97. Other scores included Tignor (114), Allen (122), and Pannell (136).


Boys and Girls Soccer struggled this past Saturday. The boys lost 11-0 on the road at Delta while the girls fell 5-0 at home to Wabash.

Boys Tennis Remains Unbeaten

Everyone brought home a win last night for Boys Tennis as they traveled to Northwestern and moved to 5-0 on the season with a 5-0 win. All singles matches were shutouts and the doubles dominated as well. JV single Josiah Stark won both of his matches.


Volleyball won in three straight sets over visiting Southern Wells (25-13, 25-18, 25-10). Taylor Walker had 13 kills at the net while Erika Foy had 12 kills and 7 digs. Kenzie Skeens had 43 assists. The Lady Indians are now 7-1.


Boys Soccer traveled to Kreager Park to take on the Ft. Wayne Fusion club side. The Indians lost 6-1 as Colin Yoder found the back of the net with two minutes left in the game. Conner Layman had 25 saves in the goal. Boys Soccer travels to Delta on Saturday.
