Vasquez began strong, singling in the first inning to score two runs and following up with a crucial double in the fourth that added two more runs. Despite being down 7-3 in the third inning, the Indians showcased their resilience. The Indians tied the game in the fourth, backed by Vasquez's double, a walk by Kellen Rock, and a line out by Kallen Quaderer. Southern Wells briefly gained an 8-7 advantage due to an error in the fifth, but Mississinewa fought back with a ground out by Lio Matamoros to reclaim a 9-8 lead. Vasquez not only excelled at the plate; he also took the mound for the victory, pitching three and two-thirds innings, allowing just one hit and one unearned run while striking out eight. Leyton Stearns finished the game on the mound to earn the save. Both Vasquez and Stearns contributed two hits each, and the Indians showcased impressive plate discipline by drawing eight walks, led by Rock and Merric Mobley with two each.
