Officially, the Winter sports season has come to an end. The final team playing was the Boys Basketball team. They took on a very tough Peru Tigers team in the first round of sectionals this past Tuesday. After holding an 8 point lead with 5 minutes to play in the game, the Indians could not hang on long enough, Turnovers and lights out shooting by the Tigers to end the game gave the Tigers a 71 to 63 victory!
With an up and down rollercoaster of a season completed, Coach Reed has a lot to look forward to. With how the young players played in the sectionals game, Coach Reed can be happy going into the next year. Nolan Quaderer and Kobe Johnson stepped up big time on both ends of the floor. The Indians have a bright future ahead.
Thanks to the lone Senior Tyler Cook. You will be missed. Thank you for a great 4 years with Mississinewa Basketball!
Now we focus our eyes towards the warm weather and the spring sports! Baseball and Softball tryouts are right around the corner. Spring is coming.. we can’t stop it. Let’s embrace it and hope for great seasons ahead!
