9/11 Tribute

On Saturday, we remembered the day that was so tragic for everyone. A day that many lost their lives. But we also remember and honor those who survived. On September 11, 2001, 2,977 people lost their lives and thousands were injured in the terrorist attack on the Pentagon, World Trade Center, and Somerset County, Pennsylvania. Today, we stand with freedom and protection thanks to the men and women of our armed services.

Football

It was a successful CIC Day at Ball State University for the Mississinewa Indians football team, defeating Madison-Grant 47-6. The Indians dominated the Argylls rushing the ball 35 times for 400 yards and 7 touchdowns. Leading the Indians in rushing was Junior Hayden Nelson. Nelson rushed the ball 9 times for 193 yards and 3 touchdowns. Senior Carson Campbell rushed the 16 times for 164 yards along with 4 touchdowns. Passing the ball the Indians were successful at that as well. Sophomore quarterback Nolan Quaderer completed 80% of his passes going 4/5 passing for 76 yards. The Indians played solid as whole defensively allowing Madison-Grant to only score one time throughout the entirety of the contest.

Girls Soccer

What has already been an exciting soccer season for the Lady Indians they hope to continue tonight. The Lady Indians will welcome the Tipton Lady Blue Devils to town for a soccer match scheduled for a 6pm start. The Lady Indians are coming into tonight’s soccer match after defeating Muncie Central 9-2. The Lady Indians are hoping for another successful evening on Fisher Field. Tonight’s theme will be a “REDOUT” come out wear RED, be loud, be proud, and show your Indian Pride.

Girls Golf

A Very promising Grant 4 weekend for Coach Dakin and the Lady Indian golfers gives them some hope heading into tonight’s golf match against Oak Hill. On Saturday, the Lady Indian golfers saw a lot of positives beginning with a 2nd place finish in the Grant 4 for Ashtynn Brubaker as she shot an 89 in 18 holes. Saturday also saw career best for Juniors Lily Walton and Layla Kikendall. Walton shot a 112, Kikendall shot a 126. The Indians are at home tonight as they host the Oak Hill Golden Eagles at 5pm.
