Three consecutive night’s of Tennis for the #22 ranked Mississinewa Boys Tennis team saw Three consecutive victories. Last night the Indians had no issues tomahawking the Bruins from Blackford, winning the match 5-0. Hayden Rowley, Ethan Sample, and John Oliver all played singles matches all winning 6-0, 6-0. The duo of Ryan Scott and Riley Fuqua paired back up for the first time since last season, winning the number One doubles match 6-0, 6-0. Both Scott and Fuqua were apart of a deep tournament run in the individual state tournament last season, making it to the second round of the IHSAA Regional. They fell one match short of making it to the state finals. Kannen Smith and Garrett Spencer made up the number Two doubles team and they also brought home a victory with no issue winning 6-0, 6-0. The Indians are now 9-0 on the year and 2-0 in the Central Indiana Conference. A day of rest and the Indians return to action tomorrow morning as they travel to the Ft. Wayne Carrol Invitational at 9am. If you haven’t had the opportunity to watch the Indians tennis team you’re missing out. Go out and support the Indians tomorrow morning in Ft. Wayne.

After COVID-19 forced a cancellation in last weeks matchup against Marion, the Indians are even more fired up to take on county and conference rival Eastbrook tonight. The Jeff Adamson coached Panthers are 2-0 on the year with wins over Huntington North and New Haven. Eastbrook has outscored their opponents 83-12 in the First Two games of the season. Meanwhile, Mississinewa fell to Pendleton Heights in week One 21-14. Week Two saw a cancellation due to COVID-19, the Indians are excited to be back in action tonight.
