Indian News . Today students are dressed for the “Holidays” to show their school spirit for Homecoming Week 2019. Tomorrow is “Decades” spirit. Dress in clothes that represent your favorite decade.

Tomorrow’s Powder Puff game has been pushed back to an 8:00pm start. This was originally scheduled for 7:00pm. The bonfire will immediately follow at approximately 9:30pm.
MHS Girls Soccer . At Fisher Field, Mississinewa lost 5-2 to the Tipton Blue Devils last night. Goals came from Lia Luchetti and Taylor Ulerick with an assist by Alayna Webb. Savannah Herrera had 11 saves in the net as the team is now 4-3-1 with the Wapahani Raiders up next.
MHS Girls Golf . The Lady Indians lost in a match with Oak Hill and Huntington North last night 188-205-234. Anna Pannell shot the top round of 49 for Mississinewa. Rounding out the scores were LaBarr 52, Allen 66, Cornejo 67, and White 68.
MHS Boys Tennis . The 30th ranked Indians topped Alexandria last night 5-0 to move to 3-0 in the CIC. The team is 13-3 on the season with a trip to Elwood on Wednesday. Connor Murphy won 6-0, 6-1 at 1-Singles, John Oliver was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at 2-Singles, and Hayden Rowley was also perfect at 3-Singles. Ryan Scott and Riley Fuqua captured the 1-Doubles court 6-1, 6-1. Mason Christensen and Chandler Morrison won 6-1, 6-2 to round out the varsity’s victory. The JV also won 2-1 over the Tigers.
MHS Football (JV) . Mississinewa’s JV squad defeated Eastbrook 38-12 last night. Landry Rock had a rushing touchdown, a two-point conversion, and a passing touchdown to Jayden Crick. Hayden Nelson rushed for a touchdown and returned a kickoff for a touchdown. Luke Bennett rushed for a touchdown, a two point conversion, and had a fumble recovery. Carter Burton rushed for a two-point conversion. Peyton McPeak rushed for a two-point conversion, and Aiden Douglas had a fumble recovery.
