Indian News . Softball was cancelled last night with no make-up date set due to the upcoming start of the 2019 IHSAA Sectional. Mississinewa will host this event starting Monday next week, with every game live on MCSC Athletic’s YouTube.
There will be a boys soccer call-out meeting on Tuesday, May 21 at 2:45pm in the MHS Library.
Any student interested in running Cross Country in the Fall 2019 season should attend the meeting Wednesday, May 22 in the MHS Cafeteria immediately after school.
Don’t forget about renewing the IHSAA student-athletics physical for the new year. Information will be provided very soon from Athletic Director Young.
MHS Boys Track & Field . The Indians will send several runners to the Regional event after competing last night at Indiana Wesleyan. Brennan Butche won the 1600m and the 3200m. Heisman Skeens will advance in the long jump and the 200m while Elijah Standridge will go in the 100m. Jason Arbogast is still competing tonight at IWU with the possibility to advance in the discus.
Aurora Fisher qualified on Tuesday in the 3200m in an updated result from the IWU Girls Sectional.
Tonight’s Events . JV Baseball will host Anderson tonight at 5:00pm. The IHSAA Sectional at IWU for Boys Track & Field will wrap-up tonight since the event was cut short due to lightning. The remaining events will start at 5:00pm.
Weekend Events . On Saturday, the varsity Baseball and Softball Grant Four events will be held at Eastbrook High School beginning at 9:00 and 10:00am respectively. The junior varsity Grant Four event for both sports will be held at Madison Grant
Weather Outlook . Today, temperatures will climb up near 80 with a chance of rain beginning in the afternoon. Saturday should be the best day of the weekend with a high of 85 and sunny skies. Expect thunderstorms on Sunday with temps in the mid-70s.
