Indian News . The summer training and activities window begins on Tuesday, May 28 and runs until Friday, August 2. MHS Coaches please check your email from Athletic Director Young on “Limited Contact” and conditioning.
Anyone interested in playing Football in 2019 should see Coach Funk or Coach Greentree for a summer training packet.
The IHSAA Moratorium Week is June 30 through July 7 this summer.
Any MHS student who feels they have perfect attendance this year, and have not received a notification from Mrs. Babb should see her immediately.
MHS Baseball . The Indians defeated the Eastbrook Panthers last night 17-3 after being down 0-3 through the first two innings. Owen Felver captured the win for Mississinewa with 6 strikeouts, 9 walks, and allowing only 1 hit. Carson Campbell was 2 of 4 with an RBI. Landen Swanner was 1 of 4 with 3 RBIs. The Indians stole 7 bases on the Panthers.
MHS Softball . Coach Miller and the Lady Indians defeated Eastbrook on the road 1-0 for a conference win. Jenna Berryhill pitched in the win striking out 4 while giving up 4 walks and 3 hits. McKee, Stanley, Smalley, and David came away with hits in the pitching battle.
Tonight’s Events . Girls Tennis will travel to Frankton to take on the Eagles at 4:30pm. Boys Golf also has a tee time at 4:30pm hosting Taylor. At 5:00pm, Baseball will throw out it’s first pitch against Elwood. Please remember that the JV Baseball game scheduled for tonight has been cancelled. CIC Track & Field will start at 5:30pm at Oak Hill High School. Finally, RJB Soccer will play a match at Fisher Field starting at 6:00pm.
Weather Outlook . Home events tonight should be safe as Gas City will see a high of 76 around game time. An increasing risk of storms will start tonight, and Indian Nation should see rain on Thursday with a high around 70.
