Match Play at Eastbrook and a CIC Softball Win

Indian News . The summer training and activities window begins on Tuesday, May 28 and runs until Friday, August 2. MHS Coaches please check your email from Athletic Director Young on “Limited Contact” and conditioning.

A Summer Training Schedule will be released very soon for those athletes interested.

The IHSAA Moratorium Week is June 30 through July 7 this summer.

MHS Baseball . Last night the JV squad took down the Marion Giants 13-3 at Atkinson Field. Keaghan Williams earned the win with 5 strikeouts. Holden Brown helped lead the Indians at the plate by going 2 of 3 with 5 RBIs and a home run.

MHS Boys Golf . Coach Roesch and the Indian Golfers defeated Eastbrook yesterday 4-1 in match play. Ty Corey, Bryce Luedtke, Justin Dakin, and Ryan Scott all came away with wins.

Lady Indians defeat Elwood 8-7 on a walk-off by Lexi Cruzan last night.

MHS Softball . The Lady Indians defeated Elwood to add a CIC notch to their belt. Jenna Berryhill pitched in the 8-7 win striking out 7 while walking 4 and giving up 9 hits. Lexi Cruzan was 2 of 4 with a triple and a game-winning RBI. The replay of this game is available now on MCSC Athletic’s YouTube.

Tonight’s Events . Baseball travels to Upland to face the Eastbrook Panthers with the Lady Indians Softball team. Both of those games start at 5:00pm with the JV Softball game to follow. Girls Tennis is also on the road to Southwood with the first serve at 5:00pm.

Weather Outlook . Today Indian Nation will see a high of 63 with a 20% chance of rain throughout the afternoon under partly cloudy skies. Overnight low will be around 49 with a chance of rain on Wednesday morning. Wednesday’s high will near 80 around the afternoon game times under cloudy skies.
