Tribe Sports Report
RJB Boys Basketball . There were no results reported last night from the R.J. Baskett Boys Basketball games. This was the only athletic event on Thursday for MCSC Schools.
Tonight’s Events . Boys and girls basketball will travel to Elwood High School in a combined event to beat the predicted weather for this weekend. Joining them will be our Unified Basketball team which will compete at approximately 7:15pm. This evening’s schedule is as follows:
- 6:00pm . Girls Varsity (Main Gym), Boys JV (Middle School Gym)
- 7:00pm . Girls JV (Middle School Gym)
- 7:15pm . Unified Basketball (Main Gym)
- 7:45pm . Boys Varsity (Main Gym)
Weekend Events . The C-Team basketball game has not yet been officially cancelled for Saturday at Eastbrook. That game will be a 9:00am start. The RJB Boys & Girls 7th grade Grant Four Basketball tournament is still set to be played at Madison Grant on Saturday. That event will start at 9:00am in Fairmount. MCSCS Athletics will keep you updated on these events.
WEATHER STATEMENT The NOAA is predicting accumulations of snow of up to 5 inches starting after 4:00am on Saturday morning and continuing throughout the day.

Today’s Sports World Update
NCAA Men’s Basketball . This Saturday the #25 Indiana Hoosiers will take on Purdue in Mackey Arena (2:00pm, FOX). #2 Michigan faces Wisconsin in other Big Ten action (Noon, ESPN). The big showdowns will feature #12 Kentucky at #14 Auburn (4:00pm, ESPN) leading up to #1 Duke hosting #4 Virginia in Cameron Indoor and featuring College GameDay (6:00pm, ESPN).
NBA . Indiana lost to Philadelphia 120-96 last night at Banker’s Life to move to 29-15 on the season. Thaddeus Young scored 27 points in the loss for the Pacers.
NFL . On Sunday, the Conference Championships will kick off. Los Angeles travels to New Orleans in the NFC (3:00pm, FOX), while Kansas City hosts New England in the AFC (6:45pm, CBS).
