Girls Hoops Struggles against Norse

Tribe Sports Report

MHS Girls Basketball . No official results were reported for the Lady Indians loss last night to the Northfield Norsemen. From TribeTV student-media, the final score for the Lady Indians was 54-37 in that varsity loss. Alayna Webb scored 14 points for the Indians, and Caily Bolser pulled down 13 rebounds (reported by Scott Hunt of the Chronicle-Tribune). The Junior varsity girls also were defeated.

Tonight’s Events . The Mississinewa Boys Basketball team will travel to Hartford City to take on the Blackford Bruins tonight. Freshman tip is at 5:00pm with the junior varsity and varsity to follow. The Indian Wrestlers will compete this weekend in the CIC Tournament at Elwood. That event starts tonight at 6:00pm and continues through Saturday.

Weekend Events . Coach Tandy and the Lady Indians will look to bounce back after the home-loss against Northfield when they battle the Blackford Bruins at 11:00am on Saturday in Hartford City. The CIC Wrestling Tournament will continue on Saturday at Elwood with the advancing wrestlers starting at 9:00am.

Today’s Sports World Update

NCAA Men’s Basketball . #2 Michigan defeated Illinois last night 79-69 in Big Ten action. Tonight, #22 Indiana faces Maryland in College Park at 7:00pm (FS1). Saturday will feature some big match-ups across mend’s basketball include the #1 Duke Blue Devils facing #13 Florida State in Tallahassee (2:00pm, ESPN). #12 North Carolina plays Louisville, #25 TCU faces #23 Oklahoma, and #18 Kentucky will host Vanderbilt in just a few of the contests.

NFL . The Indianapolis Colts travel to Kansas City in the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs on Saturday. Game time at Arrowhead Stadium is 4:35pm (NBC).
