Top 25 Fall Athletes . Mississinewa’s own Brennan Butche tops the list of the Top Fall Athletes in Grant County published by the Marion Chronicle-Tribune. The other Indian athletes were Heisman Skeens (6th), Cailyn Bolser (10th), Cade Campbell (14th), and Halle Planck (24th).
MHS Girls Basketball . The Lady Indians defeated Madison Grant on Saturday with a 76-19 scoreline that featured a 21-2 first quarter. Caily Bolser recorded 24 points with 10 rebounds and 6 blocks to lead Mississinewa. McKee, Bartel, and Hewitt all added double-digit performances. The JV Lady Indians played the Argylls on Friday night also winning 33-25.

MHS Boys Basketball . The Indians grabbed a 2-0 seat in the CIC by defeating Madison Grant Friday evening 57-37. Landen Swanner scored 25 points in the win. Colin Yoder added 11 points to the total. The junior varsity also won by a score of 50-31. Hayden Ulerick and Colton Edwards had 10 points in the JV win, and Dakota Ancil led the team with 12 points. In the early event, the C-Team helped start the sweep with a 50-25 win.

Tonight’s Events . The 2018 Boys and Girls JV Basketball Grant Four Tournaments will launch tonight at Madison Grant High School at approximately 6:00pm. Coach Funk and the Indian Wrestlers travel to Oak Hill to compete in the Grant Four meet which starts at 6:00pm.

Today’s Sports World Update
NBA . The Indiana Pacers defeated New York 110-99 to move to 20-10. Victor Oladipo scored 26 points with 8 boards at Bankers Life.
NFL . Indianapolis took down the Cowboys 23-0 on Sunday. Marlon Mack had 27 carries on 139 yards, and T.Y. Hilton added 5 catches for 85 yards. Indy seems to be out of the 6th wild card spot as Pittsburgh defeated the Patriots this weekend.
NCAA Men’s Basketball . #25 Indiana scraped by unranked Butler on a game winning three to win at the Crossroads Classic 71-68. The big result of the weekend was #12 North Carolina handing #4 Gonzaga a 13 point loss in the Dean Dome. Tennesse, Kansas, and Michigan won to round out the top-five ranked teams in the country.N
