Butche Wins 4th Grant Four Title

Tribe Sports Report

MHS Cross Country . Brennan Butche won the Grant Four race with a new course record of 15:38 to retain his titlefor the fourth straight year at Taylor University last night. Aurora Fisher, Carli Fones, and Raegan Tippey finished in the top ten for the girls who came in 2nd place as a team.

MHS Girls Soccer . No official result was reported from Lady Indians soccer last night.

MHS Boys Soccer . The Indians defeated South Adams yesterday 8-1 at Fisher Field. Colin Yoder scored 4 goals in the win. Thomas Steelman added 2 goals while Noah Drake and Holden Brown rounded out the scoring.

RJB Volleyball . The 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams both defeated Kokomo last night 2-0.

RJB Football . The 7th grade Indians defeated Madison Grant 22-0, while the 8th grade team took a 46-12 win over the Argylls.

RJB Tennis . The junior Indians shutout McCulloch last night 5-0 in their match at Marion High School.

Tonight’s Events . Boys Tennis will travel to Frankton at 4:30pm in their last conference match of the season. Volleyball hosts Elwood this evening at 6:00pm.

Today’s Sports World Update

MLB . The Cleveland Indians defeated the White Sox last night 5-3. Detroit dropped a result to the Twins 5-3. St. Louis won big in Atlanta taking down the Braves 8-1. Cincinnati won 3-1 over the Brewers, and the Chicago Cubs picked up a win in Arizona 9-1.

PGA Golf . The Tour Championship begins on Thursday at East Lake Golf Course in Atlanta. Xander Schauffele is the defending champ. The earliest tee time in the field is set right now for 11:40am with Marc Leishman and Patton Kizzire.

NFL . New York will face Cleveland this week in the Thursday night game of week three. Indianapolis will be in Philadelphia on Sunday for a 1:00pm kick-off on FOX.


The Tribe Sports Report will be back on Monday, September 24th to recap all of the homecoming festivities and events.
