Tribe Sports Report
MHS Boys Tennis . The Indians are now 4-0 in the conference and 9-6 overall with a win at Elwood last night. Coach Fleming and the team swept the Panthers 5-0 in the varsity match, and 2-0 in the junior varsity event. On Saturday, the team will compete in the Homestead Invitational.
MHS Girls Soccer . The Lady Indians hosted Muncie Burris on the soccer pitch at Fisher Field last night. The Owls stole the win 5-3. Girls soccer will compete in a dual match with the boys on Friday as they host Blackford.
RJB Tennis . No official results were reported on the RJB Tennis match last night.
Tonight’s Events . Girls Golf will tee off with the Elwood Panthers at 4:30pm on the road. Volleyball will host Marion at 6:00pm. RJB Volleyball will travel to Frankton for a 5:30pm match, and RJB Football hosts Eastbrook at 6:00pm.
Lady Indian Volleyball can be watched live tonight on MCSC Athletic’s YouTube channel provided by TribeTV starting at approximately 5:45pm.
Today’s Sports World Update
MLB . On Wednesday, the Cincinnati Reds lost 8-1 at home to the Dodgers. Detroit lost 5-4 against the Houston Astros. Cleveland dropped a 3-1 result to the Rays. Pittsburgh defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 4-3. The Chicago Cubs lost 5-1 to Milwaukee, and the White Sox won 4-2 in Kansas City.
NFL . Baltimore travels to Cincinnati tonight for Thursday night football in the NFL. The Indianapolis Colts will face Washington on the road this Sunday at 1:00pm on CBS.
College Football . Headlining this weekends college football matchups is #12 LSU at #7 Auburn on Saturday at 3:30pm (CBS). Indiana Wesleyan continues their inaugural season by hosting Trinity at noon on Saturday. The Wildcats are 1-1 after a big win last week 61-6 over Anderson.
Soccer . Liverpool sits atop the EPL table heading into week five after the international break. Chelsea and Watford are equal on points. Tottenham faces Liverpool in the early match on Saturday. At 12:30pm, Manchester United will take on top-team Watford in one of the must-watch matches of the weekend.
