MHS Cross Country . Anyone interested in running for the Mississinewa High School Cross Country team in the Fall of 2018 should attend an informational meeting on Thursday, May 17th at 2:45pm in the Upper Cafeteria at MHS. Attendance is mandatory to discuss the summer training program, and requirements for the fall season with Coach Van Winkle.
MHS Girls Tennis . The Lady Indians finished the season in a rain-shortened Concordia Invitational on Saturday. In round one Mississinewa went 4-1, and was able to finish 1-1 in round two against Canterbury. The Lady Indians finished with a 13-2 regular season record including the Homestead Invitational title and the CIC Championship. Tyra Stanley finished the season with a perfect 20-0 record to become only the third Mississinewa Girls Tennis player to accomplish this mark. Mississinewa starts sectional play on Wednesday at Marion High School at 5:00pm.
MHS Cheerleading . The 2018-2019 Varsity and Junior Varsity squads were announced after try-outs this past weekend. Congratulations to Mackenzie Ressler, Cadence David, Tayler Gray, Nataliegh McVicker, Karsyn Fisher, Miah Wright, Kendal Emmons, Karalyn Moon, Abigail Oyler, Madison Ayala, Haleigh Skeens, Paityn Martin, Alexis Tignor, Juliana Smith, Makayla Donis, and Jacqueline Smith.
MHS Baseball . Mississinewa lost 15-0 on Saturday to a very good Homestead team for the final home game. The Indians face Taylor on Wednesday on the road to conclude the regular season. JV lost to Homestead on Saturday 10-5.
MHS Softball . Lady Indians defeated Adams Central in extra innings at the Ole Miss Round-Robin on Saturday 8-7. The team completed the sweep by beating Angola 7-2 in the final game.
MHS Boys Golf . Indians Golf finishes the CIC in 3rd on Saturday. Breyton Berryhill, Josh Dakin, and Ty Corey earned All-Conference recognition with scores of 85.
Tonight’s Events . Boys Golf and JV Baseball travel to Alexandria this evening. JV Softball will host Marion at 5:00pm while the varsity team travels to Northwestern. RJB Baseball will play at Kokomo while RJB Golf hosts the Wildcats at Shady Hills. RJB Softball hosts Wabash in the park at 5:30pm, and rounding out the evening the RJB Soccer team will host Eastern at Mississinewa High School at 6:00pm.

NBA . The Boston Celtics dominated the Cleveland Cavaliers 108-83 on Sunday evening. Jaylen Brown led the Celtics with 23 points while Kevin Love managed 17 for the Cavs leading scorer. Golden State opens up the Western Conference Finals at Houston tonight at 9:00pm (TNT).
PGA Tour . Webb Simpson shot 18-under to win the Players Championship on Sunday even with a final round 73. Tiger Woods came in tied for 11th with a score of 11-under.
NHL . The Washington Capitals took a 2-0 lead over Tampa Bay on Sunday with a 6-2 win. Two players had three points, and Braden Holtby grabbed 33 saves. Vegas and Winnipeg play tonight in Game Two. The Jets lead 1-0.
Racing . Will Power won the Grand Prix of Indy on Saturday, and Kevin Harvick took Kansas in the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series.
