MHS Softball . Coach Miller and the Lady Indians finally opened up play on their home field last night with a loss to Cass 4-3. Cierra Vasquez pitched for Mississinewa allowing 4 hits and 3 walks in the loss. Vasquez struck out 3 batters. Mallory Sands went 2 for 3 with an RBI, Riley McKee was 2 of 4, and Shelby Goble was 2 of 3.
RJB Soccer . R.J. Baskett opened up play at Mississinewa High School last night against Blackford. After being down 2-0 at the half, the Junior Indians ended in a tie 2-2.
Tonight’s Events . MHS Softball hosts Wabash at 5:00pm. Indians Baseball travels to Norwell with the first pitch at 5:00pm. MHS Track and Field will host Madison Grant and Elwood tonight at 5:00pm. Finally, Coach Fleming and the Girls Tennis team will host the Bluffton Tigers for a 5:00pm match. None of these events will be live tonight as TribeTV is working on some network issues for the softball complex.
Today’s Sports World Update
NBA . Tonight, Indiana faces Charlotte tonight at 7:00pm at Bankers Fieldhouse. This is the final game in the regular season as Indiana was unable to climb out of the 5th seed spot in the Eastern Conference. The Pacers will try to look for their 28th win at home this season.
NFL . Reports say that Andrew Luck has yet to touch a football this spring, and the Colts are beginning to see a huge setback for the upcoming training camps.
MLB . Here are the latest scores from Major League Baseball…
- The Chicago White Sox lost to Tampa Bay 5-4.
- Cleveland topped Detroit 2-0.
- St. Louis lost to the Brewers 5-4.
- The Reds were defeated by the Phillies 6-5.
- The Cubs game was snowed out as Chicago is still battling snowy weather.
