Tribe Sports Report

MHS Girls Tennis . Coach Fleming and the Lady Indians defeated Anderson on Friday evening 5-0. The team did not give up a single game during the match. Tennis is now 1-1 on the season.

Tonight’s Events . RJB Softball will travel to Maconaquah for a 5:30pm make-up event. RJB Soccer will host Blackford at Mississinewa High School at 6:00pm. MHS Softball will play Cass in a rescheduled game from Saturday. Start time for the Lady Indians is 5:30pm.

Today’s Sports World Update

NBA . The Indiana Pacers defeated the Charlotte Hornets 123-117 to move to 48-33 on the season. Domantas Sabonis led the pacers with 30 points.

PGA Tour . Patrick Reed won his first major event on Sunday at Augusta holding off the competition and putting on the green jacket at The Masters. He took home a $1.9 million purse. McIlroy, Spieth, and Fowler were all in the hunt but could not catch Reed in a very dramatic final round.

NASCAR . Kyle Busch won at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday in the Monster Energy Cup Series driving the Toyota. Kurt Busch was the pole winner. On April 15, the field will focus on Bristol for a 2:00pm start on FOX. Kyle Busch is the points leader with 316 followed by Logana, Blaney, and Harvick.

MLB . Here are the latest scores from Major League Baseball…

• Cleveland defeated Kansas City 3-1.
• Detroit topped the White Sox 1-0.
• St. Louis lost to Arizona 4-1.
