Mississinewa overtake Apaches late for the win

MHS Boys Basketball . The Indians had to overcome a an early second half deficit to claim control in the fourth quarter. Mississinewa defeated Wabash 62-53. Big production came from the big men as Thabit Gault recorded a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Elijah Bounds had 13 points and 8 rebounds. The junior varsity team also took down the Apaches 62-42 to move to an impressive 10-2 on the season. Evan Bellus lead the Indians with 13 points followed by Tai McClung with 12.

Tonight’s Events . MHS Girls Basketball travel to Alexandria for a 6:00pm tip. RJB Girls Basketball hosts Oak Hill at 6:00pm.

Today’s Sports World Update

NCAA Men’s Basketball . #3 Purdue topped Wisconsin in Big Ten action 78-50. Carsen Edwards had 21 points. Notre Dame fell to Louisville 82-78, and Ball State defeated Central Michigan 82-76. The Taylor Trojans lost to Bethel 73-67. Evan Crowe had 21 points in the loss. Indiana Wesleyan defeated Grace 80-72 in overtime. Kyle Mangas scored 22 for the Wildcats.

NCAA Women’s Basketball . Indiana lost to #14 Maryland 74-70. The 14-2 Ball State Lady Cardinals will face Toledo tonight at 7:00pm on ESPN3.
