Tribe Sports Report
MHS Wrestling . The Mississinewa Indians hosted the Blackford Bruins last night and picked up their first win of the season 37-36. Gage Peterson, Hunter Ribble, John Hall, Jaheim Johnson, Kyler Funk, and Skylar Tackett all had individual wins for the Indians.
Tonight’s Events . MHS Boys Basketball faces off against Oak Hill in a CIC and county battle. The junior varsity and C-team will start at 6:00pm at Oak Hill High School followed by the varsity at approximately 7:30pm.
Saturday’s Events . MHS Girls Basketball hosts Oak Hill at 11:00am. This game will be live on the MCSC Athletics YouTube channel. MHS Wrestling is on the road to Lapel at 9:00am. Don’t forget that the RJB Boys Basketball Holiday Tournament has been cancelled and will not be played on Saturday.
Today’s Sports World Update
NCAA Men’s Basketball . Purdue defeated Valparaiso last night 80-50. This Saturday features several good match-ups in college basketball. Notre Dame plays Delaware, Butler faces Youngstown State, the Indiana Hoosiers play Louisville at 2:00pm on ESPN, Ball State plays Valparaiso, and the Duke Blue Devils face Boston College to remain at #1 in the nation at noon on ESPN.
NCAA Women’s Basketball . Ball State held onto their undefeated season with a win over Southeast Missouri State 69-56. The Lady Boilermakers will play Valparaiso tonight at 7:00pm. Butler will take on Wisconsin tonight at 7:00pm as well.
NBA . The Pacers play Lebron James and the Cavs tonight at 7:00pm. Indiana is 14-11 on the season.
