Tribe Sports Report
MHS Boys Basketball . After being down 24-14 at the half, the Mississinewa Indians rallied to beat the #23 ranked Norwell Knights 50-45. Thabit Gault had a huge night with 23 points and 9 boards. Anthony Horton scored 16 points. The Junior Varsity also picked up a win 47-34. Colin Yoder led the Indians with 10 points and Jeshon McClung added 8. Just to the north, in the Auxillary Gym, the Freshman C-Team took down the Knights to get the “triple-dip” 18-15.
MHS Girls Basketball . The JV Lady Indians started the night in the Raider Dome by defeating Southern Wells 35-23. The varsity squad won 61-56 with four girls scoring double digits. Erika Foy led the Lady Indians with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Holli Greer picked up a double-double as well with 10 points and 10 boards. Tyler Bartel fueled the back court with 12 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. Alayna Webb scored 11 points to round out the bulk of the Lady Indians scoring.
Tonight’s Events . RJB Boys Basketball travels to Alexandria tonight. That event begins at 5:30pm. The RJB Girls basketball team hosts the Tigers with a 6:00pm tip-off. MHS Wrestling opens up their season on Thursday at Madison Grant at 6:00pm.

NCAA Men’s Basketball . Purdue opens up the Big Ten/ACC Challenge with a win over #17 Louisville 66-57. Vincent Edwards led the Boilers with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Ball State defeated Oakland City 81-57. The Indiana Hoosiers take on the top team in the land, the Duke Blue Devils tonight at 9:30pm on ESPN at Assembly Hall.
NCAA Women’s Basketball . Ball State faces off against Butler tonight at 7:00pm on ESPN3. #3 Notre Dame will battle #22 Michigan in the Ladies Big Ten/ACC Challenge at 6:00pm on the Big Ten Network.
NBA . The Indiana Pacers play the Houston Rockets tonight at 8:00pm. The Pacers come into the game at 12-9.
