Indians Football bounced back in a huge game against CIC opponent Madison Grant on Friday evening at Fisher Field. The Indians won 69-0 with an offensive total of 524 yards. Cade Campbell launched the Indians into the lead by running the opening kick-off back for a touchdown, later adding on another of his own. Senior Cade McCoin ran in two touchdowns himself and completed connections for three passing touchdowns to Andrew Cruz, Hunter Smalley, and Heisman Skeens. Skeens would add another rushing touchdown later in the game. Senior Devon Dill and Freshman Tai McClung added rushing TD’s for the Indian attack. Andre Salade kicked six PAT’s for the Indians. The Argylls were held to 36 yards with Chris Pavey getting a sack and Dustin Patton leading the team in tackles. The Indians travel to Oak Hill this week for another CIC, county match-up.
Cross Country ran Saturday at the New Haven Invitational. Carli Fones finished first for the girls in 35th place overall (22:34.29) followed by Mary Zerbe at 78th (24:45.81). Brennan Butche finished 2nd in the AAA High School Boys race at 15:50.22. Jon Tucker led the Indians in the Class AA race finishing 27th (18:21.69). Other top 100 finishers were Jakob Ehmer, Zak Huffman, Tony Parish, and Raven Fisher. The Boys and Girls Cross Country teams will compete at Indiana Wesleyan University this Saturday for the CIC Invitational starting at 10:00am.
Mississinewa Football’s C-Team defeated Madison Grant on Saturday 48-0.
