Mississinewa Cross Country traveled to Taylor University this past Saturday for the high school and middle school invitational. Junior Brennan Buche broke the school record and course record with a time of 15:49.3 (5:06/M) winning the boys race. Aurora Fisher was the top runner for the Lady Indians finishing 12th with a time of 20:35.9. As a team the girls and boys both placed 11th.
Indians Football was defeated in a very exciting game in their home field opener 36-32 by the New Haven Bulldogs. Senior Evan Wilkins had a fumble recovery. Cade McCoin rushed for one touchdown and completed a pass to Hunter Smalley for another. Junior Heisman Skeens and Sophomore Cade Campbell both added a touchdown on foot.
Girls Golf placed 4th at the CIC match on Saturday. LaBarr and Davis both received All-CIC Honorable Mention finishing 10th and 9th respectively. LaBarr shot a 98 and Davis a 97. Other scores included Tignor (114), Allen (122), and Pannell (136).
Boys and Girls Soccer struggled this past Saturday. The boys lost 11-0 on the road at Delta while the girls fell 5-0 at home to Wabash.
