On Saturday, the annual Grant Four baseball and softball tournaments were to be played, but weather through a nasty curve ball at the events.
Indians Baseball started the day off with a win over Oak Hill 6-3 before the weather ended the day for all teams. Eastbrook and Madison Grant will play tonight at Madison Grant at 5:00pm. The winner will then travel to Taylor University to face Mississinewa in the Championship at approximately 7:00pm.
JV Baseball defeated Madison Grant 25-0 in the first game. Seth Maddox pitched a five-inning shut-out. Eastbrook and Oak Hill will finish their weather-delayed contest tonight at Mississinewa at 5:00pm with the championship to follow against the Junior Varsity Indians.
Softball lost to Oak Hill 14-9 on Saturday. The softball tournament was completed on Saturday. The Lady Indians will play in the IHSAA Sectional at Norwell on Tuesday.
The Junior Varsity Softball Grant Four was cancelled. The JV Lady Indians finished the season 9-2 (6-0 CIC).
The Trailside Junior High Golf Championship was won by R.J. Baskett on Saturday with some great rounds posted by our Indians. Congratulations!
