Baseball Wins on Senior Night, Softball Battles Slump, & Girls Tennis Sectional

Nine Baseball seniors ended their playing days on their home field with a 12-2 win over Taylor in five innings. Nick Richards pitched the complete game with 2 strikeouts and 2 walks. The Titans grabbed five hits off of Richards. Offensively, Garrison Smith had 3 hits, Gage Gallion 2 hits, Lucas Richards 2 hits and 5 runs. Noah Harris had 2 RBIs, Nolan Young and Tim Nemes each had a double. The Indians play tonight at Wabash at 5:30pm then play on Saturday in a rescheduled Grant Four against Oak Hill at 9:00am. The Grant Four is at Madison Grant.


Softball continued to struggle last night as they lost to Northwestern 1-4. Erika Foy pitched the complete game with 4 strikeouts, 2 walks, and gave up 6 hits. Darcie Patton went 1 for 2, Madison Stanley had a single and an RBI, and Mallory Sands and Erika Foy added a hit. The Lady Indians play tonight as they host Eastern at 5:00pm before they open the Grant Four Weekend.


Girls Tennis finished their season and tournament play in a loss to Marion 1-4 last night at the IHSAA Marion Sectional.


In the Howard County Tournament, the 8th Grade Softball team advanced again with a win over Tipton 20-5. They play again tonight at 5:30pm.
