The Missisinewa Boys Basketball team lost the final game of the season last night to the New Castle Trojans 53-63. The fourth quarter was the downfall of the Indians as they were outscored 21-8 after winning two out of the first three quarters. Thabit Gault led the Indians with 18 points. Elijah Bounds and Nolan Young contributed 9 points each. Mississinewa ends the season 15-7 as they head into sectional play at Bellmont where they will face Heritage on Tuesday, February 28 at 6:00pm.
The JV lost in a very close game 51-52. The Indians completed a full court pass to earn a shot at the win from within 5 feet, but the shot rattled in and out. Larry Dean and Tyler Sizemore were the top scorers with 9 points each. The JV team ends the season at 15-7.
